House Hunting – Part 1

We are out in Tulsa house hunting. The relo company paired us with an agent and for the past two weeks we’ve been sending him houses we’d like to see. Turns out, we sent him 24 houses! And he made appointments for us to see all of them.

After missing our connecting flight (terrible service, United Airlines), we get to Tulsa around 10 pm. We are meeting our agent, David, at 9 am for what we are sure will be a day of seeing house after house that we love.

After seeing 16 houses on Friday, we love none of them. We kind of like about 3, but the ones I kinda like are not the same ones Joe likes. I’m starting to panic.

We go back to our hotel room and take another look at the available inventory and we find another 6 that we’d like to see. I call our lender and ask them to send another pre-approval letter for a higher amount so we can expand our search. I’m totally panicked.

The Journey Begins

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

We have some exciting and unexpected news to share!! We aren’t having a baby, if that’s what you’re thinking. And we aren’t getting a puppy, either. (Although I wish we were.) We are moving to OKLAHOMA!

I bet you didn’t think I was going to say that, did you?!

I was offered a great job in Tulsa and the opportunity seemed too good to pass up.

We are very excited, and very overwhelmed.

More details to follow as we learn them — we are still working through so many things.

Stay tuned. More to come soon!
